Did you know that high humidity levels affect your lash extensions?
Lash extension retention isn’t just about the glue — it’s about the air!
When humidity is too high, your lashes may not last as long because the adhesive cures too fast.
That’s why we carefully control our salon’s environment to keep your lashes looking flawless longer. ✨
1. First 24–48 Hours
Lashes are most vulnerable right after application.
In high humidity areas (like Texas summers), adhesive may cure faster, but bonds are still fresh.
Advise clients to avoid steam, saunas, and hot yoga for at least 24–48 hours.
2. Daily Lifestyle & Humidity
Showers: Recommend lukewarm water and minimal steam exposure. Encourage clients to dry lashes by gently patting with a lint-free towel or using a lash fan.
Swimming / Outdoors: Chlorine, salt water, and sweating in humid weather can break down adhesive bonds faster. Advise oil-free sealants or lash coating to add protection.
Sweating & Workouts: Suggest blotting sweat near the lash line and using a sweatband during workouts.
3. At-Home Lash Maintenance
Clean lashes daily with a lash-safe cleanser to remove sweat, oils, and debris (which build faster in humidity).
Recommend oil-free products only — no oily creams or sunscreens near the eyes.
Use a handheld lash fan or blow lashes dry on cool air after showers, workouts, or humid outdoor time.
4. Extra Care in Humid Climates
Suggest more frequent lash fills (every 2–3 weeks) instead of stretching to 4 weeks.
Offer retail upsells like:
Lash sealant (adds a protective barrier).
Portable lash fans.
Lash cleanser kits.
